Kemampuan solvent inilah yang membuatnya menjadi komponen penting dalam berbagai proses industri dan kehidupan sehari-hari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mengapa Solvent Penting?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Media Reaksi:<\/strong> Dalam industri kimia, solvent bertindak sebagai media tempat reaksi kimia berlangsung. Solvent membantu memisahkan molekul-molekul reaktan, sehingga reaksi dapat terjadi lebih efisien.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pembersih:<\/strong> Solvent digunakan untuk membersihkan berbagai macam permukaan, mulai dari peralatan industri hingga pakaian. Solvent mampu melarutkan kotoran dan minyak yang menempel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pelarut:<\/strong> Solvent digunakan untuk melarutkan berbagai zat, baik padat, cair, maupun gas. Hasil pelarutan ini kemudian dapat digunakan untuk berbagai keperluan, seperti pembuatan cat, obat-obatan, dan kosmetik.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jenis-jenis Solvent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berdasarkan sifat kimianya, solvent dapat dibagi menjadi beberapa jenis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Solvent Polar:<\/strong> Solvent polar memiliki molekul yang memiliki kutub positif dan negatif. Contoh solvent polar adalah air, alkohol, dan aseton. Solvent polar sangat baik dalam melarutkan zat polar seperti garam.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solvent Nonpolar:<\/strong> Solvent nonpolar memiliki molekul yang tidak memiliki kutub. Contoh solvent nonpolar adalah benzena dan heksana. Solvent nonpolar sangat baik dalam melarutkan zat nonpolar seperti minyak dan lemak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solvent Protik:<\/strong> Solvent protik memiliki atom hidrogen yang terikat pada atom yang sangat elektronegatif, seperti oksigen atau nitrogen. Contoh solvent protik adalah air dan alkohol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solvent Aprotik:<\/strong> Solvent aprotik tidak memiliki atom hidrogen yang terikat pada atom yang sangat elektronegatif.
